We spend our fourth of July weekend in Island Park with the Wilson family. Bruce and Lynette rent a cabin, bring the boat and four wheelers and we play all week long! I am lucky to have married into such a great family! It will be fun when Addie gets a little bigger and can run around with her cousins. Brent looks forward to the fishing and wakeboarding, and me... i enjoy relaxing and spending time with the family. Grandpa Cox joined us this year and it was so much fun having him around. Addie enjoyed her first ride on grandpa's boat and slept through her first firework show. I think we all came home with a few extra pounds...The food was all so yummy!

Father's Day.

Last June, two days before Father's day, i told Brent he was going to be a Dad.

I handed him a cute little gift bag filled with a bottle, Binky, baby rattle and our very first ultrasound picture of Addie. He cried. (i thought it was so sweet) later to find out, (in a conversation after she arrived) it was a scared cry.

Brent doesn't do to good with change. But their is one change he seemed to be perfectly fine with, and that was Addie's arrival. It was a good change. He cried. This time i think it was a different cry.

It has seriously been one of my very most favorite things, to watch him be a dad. I will never forget a couple of days after we brought sweet Addie home. Brent ran to his sisters house just up the street to get something. He wasn't gone more than five minutes before he rushed back in the door to give Addie a kiss and to tell us that he missed us. I remember smiling and thinking it was so cute. Going back to work was going to be hard for him, Hard for the three of us.

I treasure the moments i see them together. I love watching all the kisses Addie gets from her daddy. I love to watch Addie's little face light up when her dad gets home from work. I love when Brent will look at Addie and then back at me and say, "we have the cutest daughter ever." or "Candice look at her, She is just so cute." And moments like last night when he was putting her to bed and took much longer than necessary but, just needed some extra time to look at her. And one of my favorites, I love when Brent tells me that he had no idea he would love her so much.

Brent, Addie is one lucky girl to have you as her dad. We love you and appreciate all of your hard work for our little family. We hope you have a great first Father's Day! You are the Best!!

Getting So Big.

It's been awhile. I'm to busy having fun with my little Addie girl. I'd rather play, cuddle and rock her to sleep than update my blog! Addie's little personality is starting to show. I miss my little newborn but i sure am enjoying all the smiles and giggles i get now that shes older and more aware of what going on around her. I took her in for her 4 month checkup. She did so good! She is getting so big i can't even believe it!

Height: 24.5 inches 55th Percentile

Weight: 14 lbs 2 oz 55th Percentile

A few new things:

She found her thumb.
Giggles Giggles and Giggles!
Rolls to her side.
Starting to get stranger anxiety.
Finally figured out how to grab and hold her toys.
Introduced to rice cereal and baby food.
Discovered her toes.

A first Mother's Day.

I remember being pregnant, with my head in the toilet bowl (one of the many times) thinking... "is this baby really going to be worth it?" Then before i knew it, i am at the hospital just hours away from meeting my little girl for the first time (here on earth anyway). So nervous. So excited. Words cannot describe how i felt when i heard that first cry or when Brent held her next to me so i could meet my new baby girl. Being a mom is the best. I had no idea. No idea whatsoever. I will never forget holding her for the first time thinking she's mine, she's really mine. my very own :)

I have only been a mom for 3 short months but oh how i love it more and more everyday! When Addie was first placed in my arms i remember being so excited to get to know her. It was love at first sight, your in love instantly... but i didn't know know her yet. I didn't know how she liked to be held or what words soothed her. I think that has been one of the best parts...just getting to know her cute little personality.

I am so grateful for the opportunity i have to be a mom. So grateful to a heavenly father for giving me this chance, for trusting me with Addie on her earthly journey. At times its overwhelming to think about all the responsibility i have as a mom but i will do my very best. I am grateful for my own Mom. For the example she has been my entire life. I know that my dream of being a mom (even as a little girl) is because of the mom that she was. I hope that i can at least be half as good as she is.

A Name.

Addie was given a name in our church by her daddy on Sunday.

Brent gave her such a beautiful blessing, I am so grateful for a husband who honors his priesthood.

My heart was so full.

I am so grateful for a heavenly father who loves me enough to trust me with little Addie.

I am so grateful for Addie's sweet spirit that blesses our home. And SO grateful for the blessings of the temple. I know that because of the temple i can be with my family for eternity.

Sunday was perfect. Thanks to our families and friends for all of your support on Addie's special day.

Addie had her 2 month checkup a couple of weeks ago (i know I'm a little behind).

Doctor said everything looked great.

I'm so grateful to have a happy & healthy baby!

I am amazed at how fast time really passes. I'm trying so hard to enjoy every single moment i have with my newborn. Before i know it she will be walking and talking! :) I can't believe she is already a month old. Here are a few new things she is doing!

Raises her head all by herself :)
Turns to look at mom or dad's voice
Sleeps through the night (yes, we have ourselves a good baby) :)
Smiles back at silly faces or silly sounds
Loves bath time and LOVES her hair washed
Discovered her hands
Gives some pretty funny faces
Loves to cuddle up on daddy's chest
Follows moving objects with her eyes

Addie's cousin Ty was blessed on Sunday so we took Addie to church for the first time. It was a little sooner than i wanted but she liked it and oh Boy did she look cute! :)

Happy Anniversary to us!!

Brent and i celebrated our first anniversary.

We had the best day together!

I can't believe a year has come and gone. I'm so lucky to be married to this boy!

Addie woke us up early, so hey may as well start the day off by going to breakfast :)

After breakfast we came home and all 3 of us went back to bed, we have all been pretty tired lately :) We then got cleaned up, watched the BYU game and just relaxed. It was nice, i love weekends!

Later my parents came over to babysit Addie while Brent and i left for a date.

Later when we got home, we put Addie to bed and cut into our wedding cake we had in the freezer.

Too Fast.

My baby is getting too big... too fast! Addie had her 2 week check up yesterday. Here are her Stats!

Weight: 7 lbs 6 oz 10th Percentile

Height: 20 inches 25th Percentile

The doctor said she is right on track and that she is doing really good. He also reassured me that sleeping ALL day long is perfectly normal :) I know she is still tiny but she is changing so much! Still her daddy's twin though. Slow down Addie, Don't get too big just yet!

Our precious little one was born the morning of February 5Th. Addie decided she wanted to be Breech! Therefore, mom had to get a C-section. I was really really nervous but was willing to do whatever i needed to get her here safely! The surgery went well and Addie arrived at 10:43 AM. A Beautiful, HEALTHY, Baby Girl... more than i could ask for! Moms recovery has been a little challenging but Dad has been a HUGE help and a great little nurse! :) Brent and i love being parents, words cannot describe how you feel when you see your little one for the first time. I have never loved someone so much! She is truly a miracle and we feel so blessed to have her apart of our family.

I know Thanksgiving is over and all but something about this time of year makes me think... makes me think alot. I am so grateful for all that i have. These last few weeks i have been reminded over and over how much i truly have to be thankful for.

Today i woke up feeling extra grateful for what i have. When i think back to all the different stages of life i have experienced thus far, i believe i am in my favorite. Lately i have had little reminders of how lucky i am to be married to the man i married. Oh how i love Brent! He puts up with alot :) I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful husband that works so hard for our little family. I love him so much!

I was sitting at the doctor last week and oh how grateful i am to be pregnant. I am so grateful for the experience it is to have a little baby grow inside of me. Even though pregnancy can be hard at times, i am so grateful for the experience it is. I am so so excited to be a mother. Just 9 weeks and i get to hold the little bundle of joy in my arms (and give her lots and lots of kisses).

This Christmas being newlyweds and with a baby on the way, we don't have much of a Christmas budget to work with, but you know what it's just what Brent and i need. I have really been able to focus on the true meaning this year. I don't need a single gift under my tree, i have everything i would ever want or need already. A wonderful husband i am madly in love with, a precious gift of life on the way and two loving families, all to spend Christmas with. I am truly blessed.

1. Our little One is due to arrive on the scene about February 10Th or so.
2. We are having a little BoY!! Brent is ecstatic to have a new hunting partner.
3. I'm feeling OK (ha) and have the typical symptoms for 18 weeks into the game: very tired, light-headed, vomiting every other minute (although i was told that would end after the first trimester??) headache-y, constipated and occasionally feeling like I got socked in the gut.
4. Yes it happened rather fast, (faster than we thought it would) but we cannot wait!

Brent and i are very excited for our little guy to arrive. It is so crazy that i have a little human growing inside of me, someone is alive and present who was not just a few short weeks ago. Truly a miracle!

It's weird. I remember when Brent had been gone on his mission for a week. Then before i knew it he only had one week left. And now i marry him in less than a week. Those times that seemed so long and seemed like they'd never end were all so worth it. Every minute. I'm so excited to marry him and make him my eternal companion. Being in Love is the best. My two cute cousins were married last weekend. It was so fun, Emily got married on Thursday in the Bountiful temple and her sister Brooke got married the next day in the Salt Lake temple. This weekend was my favorite Christmas tradition, the Kurt Bestor Christmas concert. We look forward to it every Christmas season. This post will mostly be pictures... but i do want to let my family know how much i love them. We have so much fun together. I couldn't ask for 3 better best friends...my sisters are the best! I couldn't ask for a better older brother or for a better set of parents. And as for Brent... I can't wait for him to officially be apart of the Muir family! :) I am so grateful for the temple and for the opportunity i have, to be with my family forever!

Back in Dec 2007 :)

Brent and i put together a time capsule and buried it in my back yard the day before he left. We wrote letters and just put some random things in, that reminded us of each other. Last week we went out back and unburied it. It was so much fun!

Digging It Up...

Inside the box was pretty nasty. We definitely could have done a better job sealing it shut :) Some creature even ate my peanut butter twix, but it's ok it made us laugh.

Since Brent has been home we have been able to do alot of fun things and go on some really fun dates. i love that he is home and love it even more that he's home for the holiday season.

My Airport Experience :)

I have had a very eventful last 2 weeks. I'm so happy and very much in love. :) It has been so much fun to have him home. I must say... the airport was even better than i imagined it to be. So perfect and SO worth the wait :) I'm very thankful he made it home safe and very very thankful i didn't pass out :) (i was seriously so nervous/excited). Things are going really good and we are just picking up where we left off :) It honestly feels like he never left. I Love It!!!

Oh my goodness i'm home! I still can't believe it. I can't tell you how great it is to be home with family and friends. (And to know i'm here to stay makes it that much more wonderful). :) Many changes are seeming to take place lately. I'm ok with change, it's always good, can be fun but sometimes hard to swallow at first. Growing up is a funny feeling. I can't believe how old my sisters are getting! Can't believe 2 years have gone by and all those cute Elder's are now returning home! I can't believe how many people my age are engaged, married and having children of their own. It's all so crazy but SO much fun! Court went to homecoming this last Saturday and might i add she looked beautiful! Karli is enjoying the college life up in Logan. And Maddie is now in HIGH SCHOOL! Where does the time go? Seriously. Anyways just wanted to say that i'm home, so happy and enjoying life and all of the great changes that come with.

Glimpse Into Motherhood.

Some days this picture is how i feel... Ok most days. I'm sure all you mothers are thinking "Oh Candice, you just wait." :) And you know what, you are probably right.

My nanny job last year was wonderful, yes it had it's challenges at times but for the most part i was happy. And it felt good to feel loved from the children and mostly Rebecca, who welcomed me in her home like i was her own child. I came home last summer feeling more grown up, more experienced and felt that i had found myself. Now... this summer i must say has been a tad bit different from the last. I have been thrown out of my comfort zone, have felt more alone than i ever knew was possible and at times felt lost and confused about things i was once so sure of. Poor Karli had to listen to me break down a few times. Thanks Kar, i don't know what i would have done the first 2 months without you. It has been a very trying and difficult last 4 months for me for many reasons but now that i am down to my last week here in New Canaan, i am beginning to realize all that i have learned. Let me start out by saying this is the BEST birth control out there. No doubt about it. (my husband will either be very thankful or very frustrated when he has to beg for me to have children) Just kidding. But seriously. Now on a more serious note, One of the most important things i am taking home with me is the knowledge of how important the gospel is in a home. It is like night and day of a difference. I have always grown up having the spirit in my home and never knew or realized how it might be to not have it... until i came here that is. I would be lying if i said i did not struggle with that. It has been extremely hard for me. The best i could do was try and make my very own room a place where the spirit could be. I can't even explain how excited i am to walk in my home and feel that peace again. The gospel changes lives, changes attitudes, changes families, changes happiness and changes the mood in the home. That i KNOW. And that i am so thankful to know. I have also learned much about what i want to be like as a wife and mother. I am in no way trying to say that the mother i work for is not a good one or does not love her children, i am just saying what i have learned through some different experiences. Looking back at all of these experiences that may have not been easy or fun in anyway, i can finally see the good coming from them. Another thing that i have come to realize is the gospel is the same wherever you go. It's just as incredible here as it is in my little Utah bubble. :) Wherever you go you always have a family on Sunday. I am so grateful for my wonderful bishop he truly is one inspired man. I'm grateful for all the friendships i have made in my home ward. I have met some amazing people that have helped my testimony grow simply by example and sharing what they know to be true. And last, i have learned aton about myself. Sometimes that can not be a fun thing, but is something we need to find to become better. But all in all as ready as i am to finally come home, i am very grateful for my time here and for this brief little glimpse into what motherhood is like. It only reminds me that I'm so not ready to be a mom yet. But i know that day will come and i am super excited and hopefully will be a little more prepared.

Nantucket, MA

YES i'm alive. Sorry it's been awhile since i last posted. I have been quite busy! Busy with screaming kids but also busy with some fun things too. My vacation to Nantucket was awesome. What a cool place. Those of you that don't have any idea where Nantucket is... It's in Massachusetts just under Cape Cod, and is the island next to Martha's Vineyard, if that helps any?? Anyways, way cool place! Not a cheap vacation spot might i add... I'm not thinking i will be going back anytime soon. It wasn't all vacation for me, still had to work my 8 Hr days but when i did get off i went and explored the area. What a cool place to visit.

So i didn't take near as many pictures as i should have. But here are a few...

So i had no idea i would be taking this 8 passenger plane to get to the island. I was a bit nervous at first (alot had to do with my young pilot... i swear he was my age) But hey it all worked out... other than me getting stuck sitting by Brooke who get's car sick almost every time we get in a car, let's just say thank goodness for the barf bags the plane provided.

Nantucket had some of the best beach's i have ever seen. Crazy fun waves.

Catching snapping turtles was so much fun... something i had never done before. You tie a raw chicken drum stick onto the end of a string and wait for the turtle to bite, just like fishing but with chicken not a worm :) (these turtles were HUGE by the way and not very nice...)

Nantucket was beautiful. The weather was perfect all week. In fact the day we left was the day of the hurricane warning. The airport was crazy packed, everyone trying to leave the island before the hurricane hit. I was so glad we decided to stay the one week and not two... they closed down all the beach's... i guess the waves were suppose to get super high... in a way i think it would have been cool to see but i would have been very nervous knowing a hurricane was on it's way. Overall it was a great vacation and i feel very lucky i was invited to tag along... even if it was work. :)

What a busy but GREAT last two weeks it has been. My family came for a visit to celebrate my birthday with me. Joey wasn't able to make it because of school and boy did we all miss him. It has been forever since we have taken a family vacation. Karli and i had so much fun showing everyone NYC! (Time Square, Central Park, Ground Zero, Grand Central Station, Statue Of Liberty, Wicked, Serendipity, Canal Street, Good Morning America W/American Idols & much much more) but i still think the best part was just being together. I can't begin to explain how much i have missed my family while being here. Thanks dad for making it all possible!! And thanks family for making my birthday special! :) Karli's friends also came to visit, they came the week before my family (very cute and fun girls). And we also met up with our sweet cousin Erin and her adorable little boy Ben that have been living in Boston for the summer. Nothing could have turned out better! It was perfect! Karli is now gone and wow the homesickness has really hit hard. I'm not so sure i have ever felt this way... It's tough knowing that she's not just down the street anymore. I'm going to really miss having her around. On Saturday i'm headed on a week long vacation with the family i work for. Anyone heard of Nantucket?! I don't know it should be fun... I'll update when i get back. Anyways enjoy the many pictures of the fam in NYC!! :)

I had a great fourth this year. Although tradition is great, it's always good to mix things up. I have missed my usual fourth in good ole' Plain City the last 2 years but at the same time i have been so lucky to spend them on the east coast. I actually had to work a few hours on Saturday morning so i wanted to do something fun with the kids. After getting them dressed in Red, White and Blue (and Brooke in her cute hair bow) we decided to make some cupcakes. The kids had fun helping with them. Afterwords Karli and i packed a lunch and headed to the beach where we spent the rest of the day. No better feeling than baking in the sun. :)

The other night at the Youngs we decided to craft and make some cute hair bows for Libby. The first couple i attempted to make were a bit rough. By the end of the night i actually started to get the hang of it. We had no idea what we were doing, it was pretty funny. We had the entire family helping (yes even the little boys). :) I'll post more pictures later... these are just a few i made for Brooke and Libby to wear for the fourth.

I wish i could explain how much fun it was to play in the rain in the streets of NYC! It was 90 degrees, not a cloud in the sky then all of the sudden... downpour!! (lasted about 10 minutes at the most) It ended up being alot of fun other than sitting at dinner soaking wet afterwards :)

Well everyone i have some really really extremely good news... Karli will be joining me in New Canaan for the next 2 months! Yay!! I am So ExCiTed!!!!!!!!!!! It turns out the Young's (my old nanny family) could use some extra help this summer for a couple of months while they try and get ready for a move. Karli is really excited (i may be more excited than anyone), We are going to have so much fun!! She is going to love being a part of the Young family. I'm a bit jealous! :) She will leave for back home August 11... (just in time to be back for school) time is gonna go supper fast so were gonna make sure and enjoy every single day!! I'm so excited and sooo glad that it all worked out this way! The homesickness suddenly went away... :)

PS. Mom sorry that you have to send all of her stuff, we really didn't plan for this...

Going back to the city was very exciting... I was so glad Karli could join me! We had alot of fun :) The family that i work for actually left town for a few days and i knew i didn't want to stay in the house all alone so... Karli took a flight down the very next day! :) Thanks Karli it has been so much fun!!

BUBBLE DAY??

Who knew NYC had a bubble day??...News to me! Me and Karli were so confused why so many people were gathered together blowing bubbles... We thought it was fun but just a bit strange...finally we asked some random lady what the heck they were blowing bubbles for?? She said they have a bubble day every year... kinda weird, but i must admit it was pretty fun! (we were also told they have a pillow fight every year??... now that could be fun!)

Every once in awhile (ok so pretty frequently) you see some pretty nasty people in the city. This is a old lady (yes OLD) that calls herself "The Naked Cowgirl" (sick) i seriously couldn't look at her very long... you had to pay 2 dollars to get your picture with her... No Thanks. I also hear a "naked cowboy" is also roaming the streets... not sure i ever want to run into him! :)

It's official karli is now a HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE from Fremont High!! SHE DID IT!!! I seriously can't believe how FAST time goes!... (kinda makes me sick) It still seems like i should be the senior and karli the little sophomore :) I am so proud of her, and SO O O O glad i was able to stay home an extra month so that i could see her graduate. I Can't believe it!! Me and my family were up visiting my grandma this weekend when one of Hillary Duff's (Lizzie Mcguire) music video came on. WoW i was very disgusted and so disappointed! Why do all the sweet innocent Disney channel girls have to turn so nasty?! Lizzie Mcguire aired on the Disney Channel for like 4 years and then "The Lizzie Mcguire Movie" came out (which i loved by the way). Then after that she slowly changed... she got sickly skinny and it all went down hill from there. It is just so sad to me... Do they realize how many cute little girls want to be just like them?? This last year i went to a few different Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) concerts, which by the way i love her. Seeing thousands of cute little girls with Hannah Montana shirts and dressed just like her made me smile :) I think it is so cute but it can become a bit of a problem... I will be so sad if Miley turns out crazy (i have already started to hear rumors) but i guess i will start preparing myself now...

Temple & Unexpected Visit

This week i had the opportunity to attend the Draper Temple Open house. The walk through the Temple was pretty amazing. The last time i got to do that i was just a little girl. I was really excited because this time i was old enough to really take in and realize that i was walking in the lords house. What a beauty, it holds such a special spirit. I had some of the same feelings as i did back in the summer when i had the opportunity to walk through the sacred grove. I couldn't hold the tears back as i walked through the beautifully decorated rooms. It was so peaceful and Wow the chandeliers are gorgeous! I wanted to take home all of the beautiful paintings on the walls. If you haven't been able to go, I would encourage you to walk through the building as open houses don't last long and are not very often. (especially if you are not able to attend the temple on a regular basis). I can't wait to dress in my wedding gown and fix myself up in the Bride's Room. :) I couldn't help thinking about the day that i will be sealed to my sweetheart for time and all eternity in the house of the lord. I am so excited and look forward to that day so much.

I heard from Rebecca on Tuesday morning, she told me that they just flew in to Salt Lake. WhAt?!... I didn't know they were even coming! I was very excited and the next morning i took a trip down to salt lake for lunch with Rebecca and her sister Ruth. I was able to spend a few hours with little Libby. ( i don't know why i always call her Little Libby because she is not so little anymore!!) The boys were all gone skiing so i didn't get to see them but we still had a fun time. Libby will be 1 next month and i cannot believe it!! Time goes by so fast! She's not walking yet but any day now... :) Thanks Rebecca for the surprise...it is always so good seeing my second family!

The Young's Came to Utah to spend Christmas to visit family and so David and the kids could take advantage of the wonderful Utah snow (skiing). I was lucky enough to meet up with them with my own family and have dinner. It was fun for my family to finally meet the cute little kids. I have missed them so much!! Elder Wilson is now on the downhill of his mission!! It's kind of crazy thinking that i have actually survived a year and am now HALF WAY DONE! And they say... the last year goes even faster than the first! Boy do i love hearing that :) I was thinking back to a year ago from today and remembering how i felt. Wow unexplainable haha honestly i thought i might die! I love looking back and seeing all we have both accomplished in this last year. Every letter i get from elder Wilson just gets better and better. He is changing so much and his love for the gospel continues to grow as the weeks go by. He is having so many awesome experiences and opportunities. I love seeing him rely upon the lord with everything. I myself have also set some goals. I like Brent, am working on strengthening my own testimony. The last 3 months me and Brent have been reading the Book of Mormon together. We randomly just made the goal of 3 chapters a night :) (not aloud to miss a night, skip ahead, or fall behind) We actually just finished at the first of this month. It turned out being a really neat experience we got to share with each other.

Now i don't exactly recommend the whole girlfriend/missionary thing :) but i do know that i have already learned so much from it. Some days are so hard and others are ok, Some months fly by and some drag on, Sometimes i still think he is gonna ring the door bell to pick me up for a date but he never comes, Sometimes it feels he has been gone forever and sometimes just a few days! Lets just say i am full of mixed emotions!! :) And it doesn't help when you have the world tryin to make your decisions for you either :) I can't even begin to tell you how many times a day i hear, "You won't wait", "Your wasting your time", "Go out and have fun", "Go on some dates", "Only 15% of girls wait", "How do you know he's the one?"... Come on People leave your opinion to yourself! Who says I'm not having fun? I am staying busy, working, spending time with my family and friends. It's amazing to me that even after a year people still have to remind me all of this ha i thought people would shut up after the first few months but I'm now startin to think it's never gonna end but hey that's ok :)

Brent i love you and i am so proud of the work you are doing! Keep pushing yourself, i know you are an awesome missionary and many will be blessed because of your willingness to serve the lord. Happy one year mark!!! :)

Ok so i went to the Twilight Movie when it came out and... I LoVed It!! Almost everyone i have talked to has a different opinion on it. Yeah it was better as the book but that's because you get to let your own imagination tell the story. Well bad news... We didn't see a SINGLE one!! :( The only animals we did see were 3 antelope and that honestly was it! On Friday i got the privilege to go see little Libby (well i shouldn't say little anymore!) David and Rebecca went to St George for the weekend so he could run in the marathon. They left Libby with Rebecca's sister in Salt Lake so i was able to go take her for a day. We had so much fun!! Boy did she get lots of kisses! :) We just stayed in Salt Lake for the day and did some shopping at Gateway, had lunch and mostly i just sat on a bench by the fountain (she loved it) and held and enjoyed her. I have missed her SO MUCH, I couldn't believe how much she has already grown. She has two teeth that i must say are ADORABLE when she smiles. I can't believe what a happy baby she is!! I honestly believe she belongs on a Gerber Baby commercial! My mom and Courtney met up with me the last couple of hours and that was fun for them to see her. I was so sad when the time came to take her back :( but i am SO SO glad i got to see her!! The next time i will see her will be in December, I'm scared she wont be a baby anymore But i guess they have to grow up!! Thank you so much Rebecca for trusting me with your beautiful baby girl!! Brent is doing great, he has now had two baptism's and is loving the mission! I miss him like crazy, but am so proud of him. Well ... the YeAr mark is now just around the corner! :)

Saturday morning my dad took Maddie and I to Logan to take the "Big" test. We Both passed and can now be official Hunters. WAHOO!! I got really good on my shooting (thanks to my dad's awesome gun) And to make things even better i only ended up missing One on the written test. But I was mad... i was really hoping for a 100% (it was pretty dang easy). But in Brent's email today he told me he missed Two on the written test so hey i beat him!! Isn't that great?! :) But anyways glad that's over with... Let the hunting season begin!! (I'm excited if you can't tell).

This last week my dad took us girls up to practice our shooting. Karli and Courtney already took Hunters Safety a couple of years ago, so now it's Me and Maddie's turn!! (Wahoo!!) My dad is taking us on a few hunting trips this year and we are all very excited. I gotta be honest and admit i was never really into the hunting thing until i started dating Brent. Brent loves hunting more than anything (that and basketball) We had some fun Quick hunting trips (mostly in his backyard) and i don't know i guess i just kinda realized shooting a gun is kinda fun! And ok i admit, i want him to be proud of me :) But anyways... Me and Maddie are done with the class and we test tomorrow... Wish me GOOD LUCK!!

I don't even know where to begin. My heart is very full when i think of all the friendships made and life lessons i have learned all because of my experience as a nanny. I know that i have come home a different person. I owe a special thanks to the Young family for showing me much love, patients and kindness. I know i have said it before but i lucked out big time, I struck the jackpot with my nanny family. I miss them all so much and will always treasure my summer with them. This summer i learned a different kind of love and that was how to love children. I now have a more clear understanding on how much work they really are :) but not only how much work but how much fun and joy they can bring into a life. Children teach a special kind of love, forgiveness and patients. how lucky i was to get a taste of motherhood and i truly look forward to being a mother. like i said i can't really put into words how i feel, but i am very very thankful to have had the opportunity as working as a nanny. It is something i will remember for the rest of my life.

Well I'm home!! Can you believe it? I can't ha :) It has been so good to be home. As you can see my cute little family came to pick me up (i had my own little fan club it was awesome) It was so good to see them! I have missed my sisters more than i can explain! Well so i have been home exactly a week from today, it's been a slow but fun week. I have enjoyed chating with my sisters, job hunting (ok so that hasn't been fun), lunch with my mom, visiting family and friends, Mom's cooking, oh and i can't forget the amazing Cafe Rio and Wingers run :) I'm now just trying to settle in and find a job and i guess just figure out what i want to do with my life. Ahh I have now figured out that this lovely stage I'm in right now is a hard one!! But it's good to be home and i will figure it all out!! But hey if anyone has any suggestions for me let me know...

We had a GREAT vacation to San Diego! My last week with the Young's couldn't have ended more perfect, we had a ton of fun! I was very lucky to have karli fly and meet me there for a few days. Karli loved the kids so much!! I was so glad she got to meet them. It was a pretty relaxing vacation (which i love) lots of sun, shopping and time at the beach (oh and i better add me and karli are pretty dang good at boogie boarding). Thank you so much David and Rebecca for letting me and karli come on vacation with you and the family!!

WoW is about all i can say!! Wicked truly was AmAzInG!! Saturday was my last day in the city :( i was way sad, but getting lucky enough to get wicked tickets made my day. The show was sold out for the week so the only chance i had to see it was to wait in the cancellation line. Well i was first in line and they had someone call in and cancel (being early pays off) anyways... I ended up in the middle on the 10Th row, i couldn't have picked a better seat! I'm really gonna miss the city, i know it's dumb but i cried when i got on the train to come home. I have really grown to love the Tall Buildings, Honking Taxi's, Dirty Grounds, Crazy People and the Nasty Smell. I am really going to miss this place!!

Ok so Anyone that really knows me, knows I'm not the best decision maker in the world BuT... hey I'm workin on it!! Anyways... i have recently made my decision to come home at the end of AuGuSt (soon i know) I Will be home August 24. I'm gonna miss this place like CrAzY and pretty much I'm just trying not to think about leaving. It has been the best summer of my life and something that i will AlWaYs Remember!!!

So Finally i had a birthday!! And it wasn't just any old birthday... I was SpOiLeD!! Thank you everyone for making it so special. I got lots of Cards, Phone calls, Text messages, Packages and Emails. It always feels good to feel loved on your birthday!! I owe a BiG thanks to the Young's for making it such a special day! I Got breakfast in bed, Lots of hugs and kisses, A pedicure & manicure, Dinner in the city and then Rebecca took me to Mamma Mia on Broadway! (which by the way was awesome and we had such great seats...fourth row baby!!) Thank you David and Rebecca so so much!! I had a GrEaT Day and finally... I'm not 18!!!

I can't tell you how ExciTeD i was to see my friends, i have missed them So MuCh!!! We had lots of fun! We spent everyday in the city. You could live in the city your entire life and still not see it all (so so much to do) But i think its safe to say we got a cHuNk of it done :) We did 5Th Avenue, Ground Zero, Shopping, Statue Of Liberty, Broadway, The Late Show, Time square, The Today Show, The Beach, And lots more!!! But i think the best part about it was just being together, having fun and catching up on life. I am so LuCky to have such AWeSoMe Friends!!

Palmyra, NY

I can't even explain what a special weekend i had this last week... it truly was amazing. With my ward here in New Canaan i was able to go to Palmyra and all the many sacred sites there. We first went to the Printing Press where the Book Of Mormon was printed and that was awesome. We then went to Joseph Smith's home. It was interesting and humbling to see how little and simple his home was. We then had the privilege of walking through the Sacred Grove. The feelings i had there were amazing and i never wanted to leave. After visiting the Sacred Grove we then went to Hill Cumorah and that also was a very sacred peaceful place. We also had the privilege to see the Hill Cumorah Pageant. The Pageant was awesome and helped bring the Characters of the Book Of Mormon to life. Then on Sunday we were able to end our trip with having a testimony meeting in the Sacred Grove. My trip to Palmyra really helped strengthen my testimony and helped me understand and really imagine what happened to our dear prophet Joseph Smith. I hope that if you ever travel through Palmyra NY you take the time and visit the Sacred Grove.

Good Morning America Welcomes... Miley Cyrus!!

Miley Cyrus (or Hannah Montana) came to NYC today for good morning America. I went to her concert last fall in Utah and loved it so when i found out she was coming here i knew i had to go :) Miley is so cute!! I don't question why so many little girls LOVE her! You should have seen all of her little fans dressed just like her, it was cute! I left for the city today at 4:00 AM and when i got there the line was already around the block three times it was crazy!! I was lucky to even get in! It was so much fun!!

This last week i got to see my second show on Broadway :) My aunt and uncle came with the kids to NYC for a little family vacation and so i met up with them for dinner and a show. It's always good to see familiar faces :) The Little Mermaid was so good!! I love Broadway it's amazing how much talent some of the actors have. The shows are a bit pricey but it is worth every penny!!

My Trip To Washington DC

I had so much fun on our little road trip to Virgina and Washington DC. The kids were cute and i must say i lost count of how many times the kids asked "Are we there yet?" :) The reason we actually went on this trip was to see Rebecca's sister bless her new little baby Adam. I had alot of fun meeting her side of the family and am so thankful for the Young's letting me tag along. Wow Virgina and Washington were such beautiful places. And thanks to the Young's i got to see the many different sites in Washington (Never in my life did i think i would see the White house). It was all so awesome and made me feel very patriotic! I really am so thankful for all these opportunities i am getting while being here... I will never forget them!!

I figured Brent deserved to celebrate the fourth of July :) Since he isn't in the United States i wanted to put together a package for him so he could celebrate with everyone else and feel a little more at home. It's kind of fun having a Missionary sometimes!!

This years fourth of July was a bit different from what i usually do but i had fun! I spent the day with some nannies from my ward. We spent the night in the city then we woke up early and headed for the beach. We were at the beach all day long and most of us got pretty good tans (or burnt) It was fun just relaxing in the sun! when it came time for fireworks we were to hungry and tired to even care to walk in the rain and go see them (crazy i know!!) but we just ended up going out to dinner and watching them on the TV they had there. We tried to go out and look but...the buildings in the city are to tall and you can't even see the sky so that didn't really work out :) but it was a good day and i had a lot of fun! But i must say... i kind of missed good old Plain City's celebration!!

Summer isn't all fun and games :) We can't go play until all the jobs are done!! I made each little boy his own job chart. They actually do really well with it, considering they know a reward is involved!! If they work hard all summer long they each get a Blue Nintendo DS. You would be surprised at how hard they really do work :) Some of the jobs they have to do!!
